Billie Eilish and Finneas’ bond for Bond 007: ‘No Time to Die’ theme song review

Grammy award winner Billie Eilish released the track Thursday for the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die. Composer Hans Zimmer, who also recorded the score for movies like Inception, The Lion King, and Pirates of the Caribbean, will work on the orchestra.

18-year-old Billie Eilish, along with her producer brother, wrote and arranged the latest theme song, titled the same as the movie, which played over the new trailer.

Just like her debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Billie and Finneas wrote and recorded the song in a bedroom studio. Billie is the youngest artist to record a James Bond theme song.

The four-minute song has dark elements and includes the intensity of recognizable James Bond vibes. The orchestra arrangements were dramatic and eloquent with Billie’s beautiful, vibrant vibratos that intriguingly expresses throughout the track.

The James Bond franchise is no stranger to having top recording artists be the highlight of the film’s theme songs. In 2015, Sam Smith released “Writing’s on the Wall” for the Spectre movie and Adele with “Skyfall” for 2012’s Skyfall film, in which Adele won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

The sibling duo, Billie and Finneas, has a short, but prosperous career and receiving critical acclaim may be likely. It’s certain that Billie’s vocal performance will impress many and the chances of snatching a prestigious award could be possible.
